Where is your happiness?

At some time or another, especially during our twenties or maybe even later for some, we reach that point where we look at our lives and notice that it appears that everyone is passing us by. Our friends are having families, starting their careers, and are generally happy. You can witness the happiness in their speech and even see it in their photos. It bothers you after a while because you yourself do not possess the same source of fulfillment.  You begin to feel as if you're left out and that life has been cruel to you, disregarding your personal aspirations and dreams, but it's not up to life to determine your future. It's up to you. Only YOU can solidify your decisions and create stable foundations not only for yourself, but for your future families as well. Honestly, the best way to do so is to claim that the life you are living is not your own. Yeah, i know it sucks for somebody that wants to take control of their own destiny and dictate it's outcome, but doing so with a worldly perspective will only weaken its stability and it will soon, if not much later, crumble, leaving you in a emotional and psychological wreck with no one to turn to...but God. If ever you find yourself not being happy, distraught, nameless in a society that seems to obtain their happiness with the snap of their fingers, it's not because you haven't tried or made any attempt to make sure your expectations are fulfilled, but due to you not being submissive to God's will. God has promised that if we abide in him, he would stabilize our paths, and assure us protection over our dominions.  Yes, i know it hurts sometimes to see others happy, smiling with no care in the world, but most of them base the core of their joy upon weak foundations; materialism and mortal people they can use at their disposal. God says put him first and everything will be giving unto you (Matthews 6:33). Trust me, he's worth it.
