The Second Pulse

Honestly, there are days that I don't feel like saying anything at all. I don't even touch my journal days or maybe weeks at a time. The biggest gap I've seen was almost a year. It's normal for most of us to wake up everyday, thinking that the day will be the same. The same people will say the same spiteful things and the same people that love you will give you the same amount of love, wishing that they gave you more or generally in a different form. You drive up to the same job, say hello to the same coworkers as they spread the same gossip, getting the same pay for the same job requirements that you approach with the same urgency. I mean, with a life so mundane and ordinary, its hard to get excited about waking up to a sunny day with the light literally pouring through your room, giving life to your floor and bed sheets when you have to do the same thing you've been doing for the past couple of years. It appears to have no purpose, but there is. Think about it. Why else would you have been waking up for the past few years, giving the same opportunity as the day before? Did you ever consider that maybe it's God's way of giving you a second, third, or three-hundredth chance? You've heard this philosophy in so many different shapes and forms, but the bottom line is that you should try to do something different everyday. Better yet, do something that scares you (yeah, the flesh doesn't approve of that lol) Not only does it remind you that you're still alive, but that God is in total control, for if your relation with him is just and that you've claimed him as your Lord and Savior, announcing him Ambassador of your Soul, then you have nothing to worry about because you are insured! Remember, every day is a different day, every minute contains a different second. I know it's hard and life in general can be mentally and physically draining, but THROUGH CHRIST you can do anything (Phil 4:13). Next time you wake up and it happens to be early in the morning or late in the evening, do something that you either haven't done in a while or just haven't done period, but have been attempting to do since the thought was initiated in your mind, something that betters you as a person and as a child of God. Go running, have lunch with an old friend, call your sister/brother and tell them that you love them, or call your Dad/Mother and let them know despite what they've done/haven't done that they are loved and adored. You never know, God just might change their life for it's he that's working through you.
