Words...

Words are powerful, despite whatever you've heard. If you have the notion that words are only as strong as you want them to be, you're absolutely right. They have no total control over you, but they can leave a lasting impression upon your mental state of being. Words, for me, are what makes poetry so awesome. Words give life to cinematography which explains why I like tasteful graphic novels such as Superman: All star and The Lightening Thief. Words pump the blood of God's word into His heart that speaks to us, giving us what our soul needs to survive in this cynical world our flesh call "home". Words are what solidifies the departure of a loved one at a funeral, the forthcoming of a beautiful life during a spring wedding, and paves the unpredictable road of life during a high school/college graduating ceremony. Words are the first things said in the morning and the last thing uttered before bed. Words are our first and last, our everything in between, inside, and out. It's how we communicate. They can hurt you if you allow them to and sometimes, they pierce the flesh and aim straight for the soul. That's what the devil does on a daily basis. Remember, he anticipates the ruins of an uneasy man; a man with no foundation or indestructible constitution.  Friends, filter your words for if you wish to represent God, you have to make a very good impression. It's not for the sake of every body's opinion or self-esteem, or even your own, but because God wants you to. He doesn't need anything from you, be sure of that, but he's such a loving, merciful, graceful father that he gives us life so that we can speak inspiring words for the weak at heart and quick at spite.  Being a writer allows me to use words at my discretion, but I have to be mindful of WHAT I say and HOW i say it. God has the ability to give us the words to say. It's just like what he did for Moses, for even he doubted his own human ability to articulate what God had planned, but God maximised his potential, and he can do the same for you. Next time you degrade your God-given characteristics, remember that he's instilled in you and that he loves you. Allow him to filter your thoughts and tongue so that you can continue to shed light upon the world with your stories.
