Those Dark Moments

Ever think back to when things were really bad? When you didn't want to surround yourself with any positive energy because it reminded you of how much you opposed it? You refused the light because you felt it was only meant for the worthy, descending your value by consuming yourself in darkness, alone in your room with the blinds closed and the fan blowing-cold. Maybe with your head bowed between your knees or overtaken by some heavy sheets because even in darkness, you seem to find some source of luminosity somewhere you feel it shouldn't be. That small grand of brightness is God's way of saying that no matter how far away you push me or try to avoid my presence, I am always in the mist. Sure, maybe your family might deny encounters as well as friends, having you tend to your own problems since you have become so dependent upon everyone else except yourself, denying total accountability. Take my advice-I know it may be tough and it may seem as if everything around you is trying to eat you alive-your job, school, social circle, courting relationships-but don't worry. Take aside a notebook or clean sheet of paper and write down the worst thing that can happen to you (and if you're human, death should be at the bottom of your list if you choose to include it and many other possibilities) because the key is acceptance. You may have made some bad decisions or you could be simply depressed because the choices you thought were good (and probably were) didn't produce similar consequences, but the moment you accept them...and move on, seizing the day and remember that tomorrow offers a chance, you can ascend. If indeed God wakes you the next day, it means that it His will for you to conquer the situation, take hold of your life, and progress like the child He knew He made nine months before you were born. That pain you felt, that sense of obscurity, was highly necessary because one day you will approach that moment, experiencing those similar tingles under the skin, telling you "I've been here before". It is then where a warm flow makes its way calmly to your blood stream and soothes your heart. It's what God prefers to as wisdom. Use it so that not only can you assist yourself, but others who may not know just how strong they really are.
