Random Thought (we all have them)

Procrastination is a childhood friend whose only goal in life is to see you fail. I have a big quiz over the The Scarlett Letter tomorrow and I've only read about forty pages so far. Wow, right?  That basically summarizes how i feel at this point. I've been feeling ill for over a month now because of kidney stones, but I've gotten alot better. I'm drinking more water and trying (keyword is TRYING ) to eat consistently well. It's very hard to restrain from eating Debbie cakes and other sweets every now and then , especially when you're continuously working out, but that's why you're exercising, right? It's to keep off that excessive fat that you're putting back on you whenever you binge eat (which is what i like to do). It's not healthy and it tampers not only with the physical aspect of your life, but your mental, psychological, and most importantly, your spiritual. Think about it...if God asked you to live a certain way, disregarding all that's bad for your soul and you have the tendency to back slide, so call rewarding yourself for withholding over a long period of time, how would that benefit you and your desire to better yourself at being a more faithful servant? It will not. It'll simply add on to the problem, further assisting the resistance that will only become more torturous for you. Listen, this is plain and simple-the older you get, the more likely you won't be able to make your body do what it doesn't want to. I'm learning that now at 25 (soon to be 26 this coming Saturday). Pay attention to the needs of your body (except when it comes to lust or anything threatening to the human spirit or any body else of that matter), supply it with the correct amount of nutrients, drink 6-8 cups of water a day,  and spend time with God, your family, and friends, and you'll live a healthy life. Yes, easier said than done, but that's the thing-IT CAN BE DONE! Waiting till today to start reading a 133 page book is not going to help me tomorrow when i have a quiz.  I'll just try my best and continue to strive towards being the man God wants me to be. Place God above everything and refuse to see life through any body's perspective but His and you'll see the world from a totally different angle.
