It's More Than a Symbol

It's so easy to to tune into the radio, cut the television on, and even turn on the computer and see sex...everywhere. You can see it in advertisement, hear it through subliminal language, and see it in a friend's post on Facebook and Twitter.  It attracts our attention because it appeals to what many people may refer to as our animal nature when we're far separate from them because God made us that way. It's also because of sex that we're able to create each other. His sole purpose for sex was for us to multiply. He made it enjoyable for husband and wife (not just man and woman, or boy or girl). We've misused it till the point that we use it loosely and freely as if it's normal to have random sex with various partners who can care less what consequences will arise in the future. I wish music would inform young teenagers that sex has is responsibilities (opposed to saying consequences).  Yes, negative things can happen due to unwise decisions, but that doesn't mean that the situation can't be completely turned around, having a positive outcome. My message to young kids is that marriage is worth waiting on so one can enjoy a God-given pleasure. If a boy wants to have sex with you before hand, not only does he lack respect for you, he lacks respect for your father. Yes, your father! Until you are married, you are under your father's protection and authority and if he's going to approach you, he might as well ask your dad," Is it okay if  have sexual intercourse with your daughter?" Imagine that conversation taking place one night when your bf decides to so call take your relationship to "the next step". Bottom line is that sex is 100% safe in the realm of marriage. If you don't mind risking transmitted diseases or pregnancy, then use a condom or some other form of prophylactics...or don't use any at all. Being safe is more than using protection. It's about protecting your morals and adhering to your responsibilities not only as an individual, but as a future man and woman. Listen to positive music that promotes abstinence and living your life to the fullest. It maybe hard to find, but it's out there.
