Tomorrow

So how do you handle tomorrow? You examine your life right before you turn into bed, worrying about what will happen when you wake up. You could be anticipating news from your doctor about your x-rays last week or it could be that test you've been studying your butt off for, but wishing you studied just a little bit more. All you know is that tomorrow is coming, with or without your approval. That's the scary part. The most exciting part is knowing that God is aware that tomorrow is coming...which means that He's already equipped you with what you need in order to get through it. A lot of us ask God to prevent things from happening which is typical behavior. I've done it millions of times, especially before I got punished as a child. One thing I did realize before getting a butt whooping from my mom was soon, it will be over. It will hurt for a while. I would then cry, possibly fall asleep, and then wake up, rejuvenated and fresh for whatever came my way.  I guess that explains why whoppings aren't as effective anymore lol. But the thing is that tomorrow is very much necessary because if it wasn't for the next day, there would be no day after that, or week after that, or even year after that. Every experience makes us stronger. Of course we may not know exactly what's going to happen. The professor may throw in a question you haven't seen since the beginning of the semester or the doctor may say something you TOTALLY wasn't expecting, but you are prepared for any possible outcome. Faith comes into play when you KNOW that God will be beside you every step of the way. Again, how do you handle tomorrow? Do you worry endlessly, tossing and turning in your bed? Do you succumb to doing anything just to suppress reality for just a while, steady making a bigger hole where that void is? Or do you pray, kneeling at the side of your bed, asking God to protect you and provide you with the strength and courage to experience it fully? The choice is up to you. Your tomorrow maybe unknown, but your yesterday was probably a lot worst and if it wasn't for that, you wouldn't be here today.  Get stronger by reading God's word and embracing his promises. If He's gotten you this far, what makes you think He's just going to let you go? You're His child. Why would he?
