Fear

We as people have turned fear into some kind of being. It's become a person that can dictate our actions and prevent us from reaching our full potential. We have human eyes watching our every move, taking note to everything we say in order to justify our behavior and possibly destroy our reputation once we are vulnerable, disregarding our integrity and succumbing to the immorality of the world. Fear can keep you from fully expressing yourself, limiting your own personal perspective, making it difficult for others to fully understand you when what you're suppose to be saying is so clear. Fear can totally make something so obtainable that's nearly in arm's reach appear so far away that it becomes inevitable to hold in your hands. It can stunt your spiritual, mental, and physical growth, leaving you incompetent and incapable of achieving success. Fear almost stopped Moses from freeing the Israelites from Egypt, but God told him that it's THROUGH HIM that such a feat would be achieved. Though Moses was leading them to the land of milk and honey, it was God that sent the plagues, who split the Red Sea, and who spoke from the burning bush. When faced with fear, it appears hard to immediately rely on God, especially while a wall is closing in on us and there appears to be no where to hide, run, or even receive help. If we would call on the name of the Lord, the Devil will flee and hope will fill our hearts more abundantly than the blood used to give it life. Fear has stopped a lot of men from progressing in life, fear has killed many unborn children, it has caused us to lie, cheat, steal, and even deny God himself.  Let's take hold of our hope, plant it upon God's feet and watch him provide nourishment as well as an immediate response to the claim of faith that we've bestowed upon Him.  Fear is not a person. I don't even consider it an emotion. It is a word to describe our physical reaction to our soul claiming that we are capable of anything through Jesus Christ, while our body is saying that we're not. It becomes a battle that will claim one winner. The outcome is up to you.
