Ultimate Sacrifice

So to you, what's the ultimate sacrifice? Is it giving up your career for the sake of your spouse or a very close loved one? Is it making a large amount of money for the sake of a demotion that could possibly increase your chances of bettering your company? Is it a relationship with the woman/man you love and never dreamed of meeting for an even closer relationship with God? Or could it be a life of liberation, free from major obligations for the sake of three fatherless kids who needs a responsible parent to look to for hope, love, and attention? Whatever it may be, a sacrifice is giving up what your flesh desires for the betterment of your soul. No sacrifice, of course, compares to the sacrifice God made by placing his only son in the role of our sins so that we shall be forgiven for our past, present, and future sins. If you look at it from an economic standpoint, Jesus is the biggest bail out this world has ever seen! He's forgiven your father that left you behind with unanswered questions since you were a baby, your enemies that has stabbed you continuously in the back amongst open wombs, and your beloved other that has used you for their own personal gain only to make you expendable. If you want to progress in life and make the best decisions possible, there has to be sacrifices. If you want to lose weight, sacrifice sugars and salts, including 30-40 minutes of continuous cardiovascular exercising every day or every other day.  If you want those good grades in college, sacrifice television and a few nights out with your friends (they will understand, trust me!). You have to give to take. Remember, God promised us that he will give us the desires of our heart if we would trust in Him and devote our time to Him, expressing to others how much He loves us and wants us to succeed in everything that we do. Think about it, if you have to give something up today for your tomorrow, he will give it back to you 10x fold in the future. It could be soon or a few years from now. The key is to be patient and sacrificial.
